African Dance to Ballet: A Day in the Life of a Dance Major

African Dance to Ballet: A Day in the Life of a Dance Major High school dancers considering college are invited to experience a full day shadowing first-year dance majors at UW-Milwaukee. Participants aged 14–18 will attend technique classes in both African dance and ballet, enjoy a provided lunch, and participate in a candid discussion with current students and faculty members. Parents and guardians are welcome to attend the morning welcome session and join the afternoon department tour led by a dance ambassador, giving families a real sense of what the program offers. This free event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., allowing students to see firsthand what a typical day looks like for dance majors. Space is limited, so registration is required by Monday, October 19. It's a great opportunity for young dancers to explore whether a college dance major might be right for them and to connect with the UW-Milwaukee dance community.
