Animal Encounters

Your kids will have a chance to get up close with some incredible animals during this recurring program at Discovery World. The experience centers on turtles and snakes—creatures that fascinate visitors of all ages—and takes place in the Great Lakes Future exhibit. You and your family will meet the animal ambassadors that live at the museum and learn what makes these animals so special and well-suited to their environments. This is a hands-on educational encounter led by Discovery World staff, offered multiple times each weekend to give your family flexibility in scheduling. It's a great fit for curious kids who want to learn more about wildlife in an interactive way. Sessions run about an hour, so plan accordingly. Check Discovery World's website for ticket pricing and to register ahead of time.
