Betty Brinn Children’s Museum Sensory-Friendly Session

Betty Brinn Children's Museum hosts monthly Sensory-Friendly Sessions designed specifically for children with autism spectrum disorder or sensory processing disorders and their families. These special evening gatherings happen on the first Saturday of each month from 5 to 7 p.m. in a calmer, quieter environment with reduced noise and visual stimulation. The Museum limits attendance during these times to maintain a comfortable atmosphere where children can explore and play at their own pace. Each session features open-play activities plus facilitated programming, and community partners may be on hand to offer resources and support for families. The Museum has also implemented extra safety measures for children who may wander away from caregivers. Best of all, these sessions are completely free thanks to community funding.
