Bird Buddies: A Family Avian Adventure

Join the Birding Academy team for a hands-on introduction to backyard birds. Your family will learn to spot and identify local feathered visitors using their distinctive shapes, colors, and calls. You'll also discover which birds frequent typical feeders and get to build your own feeder to bring home. The program blends outdoor observation with indoor learning, so everyone gets an interactive experience regardless of age or experience level. This is designed as an adult-child partnership, welcoming children ages 3 and up. Each child needs a ticket and must have an adult present, though one adult can supervise multiple children. The session runs 90 minutes with both indoor and outdoor components. If the weather turns rough, activities shift entirely indoors. Admission runs $20 per adult-child pair for members and $26 for non-members.
