China Lights transforms Boerner Botanical Gardens into a glowing wonderland of handcrafted lantern displays celebrating the theme "Legends Come Alive." You and your family will walk through more than 40 illuminated installations inspired by ancient Chinese traditions, magical oceans, and fantasy worlds. The gardens stay open during evening hours, giving you plenty of time to explore at your own pace. Throughout the night, live performances featuring Asian folk art and acrobatics take place at regular intervals to keep the energy fresh. Two food courts offer a range of snacks and meals if anyone gets hungry, and the gardens provide a free audio tour (via the STQRY Guide app) so you can learn the stories behind each display. Interactive exhibits let kids and adults alike step into the experience.
