Christmas Tree Lighting, Sussex

Bring the whole family to Sussex's festive tree lighting celebration, where the community gathers to kick off the holiday season together. The evening features live musical performances from local schoolchildren, a countdown leading up to the grand moment when the tree lights up, and a special visit from Santa himself. Warm refreshments—hot cocoa and cookies—will be on hand to keep everyone cozy while you enjoy the festivities. Best of all, this event is completely free for families of all ages. The village asks that attendees consider bringing a non-perishable food item to donate to Sussex Outreach Services, a meaningful way to give back to your community during the holidays. It's a wonderful opportunity for kids to experience the magic of the season while connecting with neighbors.
