Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) at the Domes

You'll find the entire Desert Dome decorated for the occasion, featuring traditional ofrendas (altars honoring loved ones) created by local students. Live mariachi music and traditional dancers set the festive atmosphere while you browse art and food vendors, enjoy educational programming, and participate in hands-on activities rooted in Día de los Muertos customs. The celebration honors how this holiday—blending ancient Aztec and Spanish Catholic traditions—joyfully remembers those who've passed rather than mourning them. Admission is $15 for Milwaukee Domes Alliance members and $18 for general admission, with tickets sold in advance only (not available at the door).
