Discover the Midwest’s Largest G-Scale Train

Your family can explore an impressive model train display right here at Shady Lane Greenhouse. Known as the KFH Legacy Train, this collection has grown from a small seasonal setup in 1998 into a massive 4,800-square-foot attraction. You'll find 16 different tracks spanning over 2,000 feet, showcasing a variety of trains including passenger cars, freight trains, and steam locomotives. The detailed landscape and scenery surrounding the tracks make for an engaging experience that appeals to visitors of all ages and interests. Plan to spend time wandering through the display at your own pace—comfortable seating is available throughout so you can settle in and enjoy the details. The trains operate on weekend days, but the setup is permanent and worth visiting even when trains aren't running. It's a wonderful indoor activity for train lovers and curious families looking for something unique in the area. For more information or questions, you can reach the greenhouse directly by phone.
