Free Admission to the Milwaukee Public Museum
Free admission day at Milwaukee Public Museum.
On the first Thursday of each month throughout 2026, your family can enjoy free admission to the Milwaukee Public Museum. This is a wonderful opportunity to explore the museum's collections and exhibits without worrying about entry fees. While admission is complimentary, the museum strongly recommends making advance reservations ahead of your visit, as walk-up tickets are not guaranteed. Keep in mind that children ages 0–3 need to be included in your reservation count.
The museum features a variety of engaging exhibits and programs throughout the year. Special events like Kohl's Thank You Thursday in August highlight interactive experiences such as the Dino Days of Summer, where families can examine fossils, test their knowledge, and discover more about prehistoric creatures. Younger children (ages 3–6) can join hands-on activities and storytimes in the Early Learning Classroom. With over 4 million collection items spanning natural history and world cultures, there's plenty to spark curiosity and wonder for visitors of all ages.
