Fright Hike- Lapham Peak State Park

Celebrate Halloween with a spooky forest adventure at Lapham Peak State Park. During this 27th annual event, you and your family will walk roughly a mile of moonlit trails transformed by local school groups performing scary scenes along the way. The walk typically takes about 45 minutes to complete, winding through woods with roots, rocks, and mulch underfoot. You'll vote for your favorite haunted scene as you make your way through the forest. This event is recommended for ages 12 and up and draws around 4,000 visitors each year. Tickets are $20 per person and must be purchased online in advance at frighthike.ticketspice.com/2026-lapham-peak-fright-hike—they sell out quickly and won't be sold at the gate. The event runs rain or shine with no refunds. Note that the trails are uneven and can be muddy, so dress appropriately for outdoor conditions. A $5 vehicle park fee is required (or bring a valid annual state park sticker). Concessions will be available, and carpooling is encouraged. Pets are not permitted. All guests must arrive before 8:30 pm for entry.
