Gallery Talk, Outdoor Walk, and Performance

Outdoor art walk and nature-inspired performance at Milwaukee Art Museum.

Your family is invited to a unique afternoon combining art, nature education, and live performance. The experience begins with a gallery talk inside the museum, where a naturalist will discuss the exhibition *Seeking Revelation: German Romantic Prints and Drawings, 1770–1850* and explore connections to the natural world. Following this, you'll take a guided walk outdoors where the conversation continues, with special attention to local wildlife like trumpeter swans and our regional environment. The afternoon concludes with a free outdoor performance called *Swans* at Veterans Park's lagoon—the Milwaukee premiere of this creative work. Expect unconventional entertainment: the performance uses the park's swan pedal boats as a stage, featuring sculptural wings, choreography, and an octet of brass musicians performing from the boats themselves. General admission is $27 per person, though museum members and children under 12 get in free. This is a wonderful option for families interested in nature, art, and discovering unexpected performances in community spaces.
