Habitat Restoration Mukwonago Park

Get your family outdoors and make a tangible difference in your local ecosystem. This volunteer workday focuses on removing invasive plants and restoring the oak habitats that make Waukesha County special. No experience needed—whether your kids are helping for the first time or you're seasoned outdoor volunteers, everyone can participate and contribute meaningfully to the restoration effort. The event runs for three hours at Mukwonago Park and is completely free. Participants ages 13 and up are welcome; park entry is included when you register. Plan to dress warmly in long sleeves and pants, and bring gloves and safety glasses (extras are provided). The county recommends closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, bug spray, and water. Keep in mind that registration is required and must be completed by noon the day before—and the workday requires at least five participants to run, so weather may affect scheduling.
