Kids' Art Day at the Grohmann Museum

Kids' Art Day at the Grohmann Museum

Hands-on weaving art workshop inspired by gallery textiles at the Grohmann Museum.

Your kids will spend the morning exploring textile art displayed throughout the museum galleries, then head up to the rooftop for hands-on creative work. Each child receives a cardboard loom and guidance to weave their own bookmark to take home. They'll also have the chance to contribute to a larger collaborative project by adding yarn to a traditional loom—a nice way to be part of something bigger. This is a budget-friendly outing: general admission is $5, students and seniors pay $3, and children under 12 get in free. The program runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., giving you flexibility to arrive and stay at your own pace. It's a great fit for elementary-aged kids who enjoy hands-on activities and want to learn about fiber arts in a welcoming museum setting.
