Lake Michigan Divers
Watch Lake Michigan fish fed underwater at Discovery World's aquarium exhibit.
Every Wednesday morning at Discovery World, you can watch trained divers work inside a massive 85,000-gallon tank filled with fish native to Lake Michigan. As the divers care for and feed the sturgeon and other species in the exhibit, kids get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to maintain these aquatic habitats. The feeding demonstration happens at 10:00 am, giving families a chance to see the fish in action.
The Lake Michigan Exhibit features several species you'd actually find in local waters, including Lake Sturgeon, Bass, and Yellow Perch—each one serves as an ambassador for understanding the ecosystems in Lake Michigan and Wisconsin's other lakes. This is a great way to spark curiosity about aquatic life and conservation. Note that dive times may change, so it's worth checking ahead. General admission to Discovery World includes access to this and other exhibits throughout the facility.
