Milwaukee Tree Lighting Ceremony

Kick off the holiday season at this free community celebration featuring the lighting of more than half a million bulbs. Mayor Cavalier Johnson will help usher in the 27th annual Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival, continuing a beloved local tradition. The evening includes live music, dance performances, visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus, complimentary cookies and hot cocoa, and a spectacular fireworks show. Pre-show activities begin early, giving families time to soak in the festive atmosphere before the main event. This is a great outing for families of all ages looking to get into the holiday spirit together. After the ceremony wraps up, you can hop on a free Jingle Bus tour to explore more of the festival. If you can't attend in person, the event will be broadcast live on WISN 12. The Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival continues through early January, so this ceremony is just the beginning of seasonal fun throughout the city.
