Night of the Ghost Train
Free Halloween night event at the historic Ghost Train Bridge in Shorewood.
Join the Shorewood Public Art Committee for a Halloween celebration at the Ghost Train Bridge. This family-friendly evening features the Ghost Train illuminated specially for the occasion, along with activities and refreshments throughout the grounds. Kids can enjoy story time sessions hosted by the Shorewood Library, participate in various crafts and games, watch an aerial dance performance from Warped Studio, and visit a costume swap station to exchange outgrown clothing. The event also includes carved pumpkin displays (bring your own for a chance to win a prize), free hot chocolate on the Corner Bakery patio, and fire pits where families can roast s'mores together. Live historical actors from Milwaukee Chamber Theatre will be on hand to add to the festive atmosphere.
The activities take place at Corner Bakery's patio and the grassy area behind it, next to the Oak Leaf Trail. While walking is encouraged if you're local, public parking is available at the Estabrook Park lot just north of the bridge. Several local businesses are offering special deals for the evening, including a $4.99 kids meal option at both Culver's and Corner Bakery. The event runs from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with story time sessions scheduled throughout that window.
