Okauchee Tree Lighting & Holiday Festivities

Join the Okauchee community for its annual tree lighting celebration, a free evening of holiday fun for the whole family. The event features the ceremonial lighting of the town's Christmas tree, live holiday music and caroling, and visits from Santa and special characters like Elsa and Olaf. Kids can enjoy free face-painting, meet real reindeer and take photos in a sleigh, and participate in craft activities making holiday cards for veterans. Warm up with complimentary hot cocoa, cider, hotdogs, and festive snacks while gathering around fire pits for s'mores. The festivities take place both indoors and outdoors at the American Legion, with activities organized across multiple levels by the Okauchee Area Business Association. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to experience seasonal cheer, connect with neighbors, and support a good cause—the event also includes a giving tree to collect donations for the VA Hospital. Best suited for families with young children, though there's something for everyone to enjoy during the evening celebration.
