Play Date: Friendsgiving Playground Hop

Play Date: Friendsgiving Playground Hop

Free playdate hopping between Shorewood playgrounds for a Friendsgiving twist.

Join Play Date for a free two-hour Friendsgiving celebration designed to help families connect in a relaxed, playful setting. The morning kicks off at Atwater Park's upper playground with check-in and small-group introductions organized by children's ages. From there, families make their own way (by car or bike—about two miles) to Lake Park Playground in Milwaukee, where kids enjoy a second playground session with optional "friendship missions." Throughout, you'll have the chance to swap meaningful holiday recipes that get compiled into a shared family recipe book sent to all participants. The gathering wraps up with complimentary hot chocolate and a closing "cocoa cheer" at Lake Park, giving families a natural moment to exchange contact info if they'd like to stay in touch. The event works best for kids ages two through ten, with younger or older siblings welcome too. Just remember: you're arranging your own transportation between parks, parking is street-side only, and bathrooms' availability hasn't been confirmed yet, so plan accordingly. Dress warmly for outdoor play, and if severe weather strikes, registered families will get an email update by 8 AM that morning.
