Head to Retzer Nature Center this fall for a self-guided walk along the Blue Trail to admire creative scarecrow displays set up by families, groups, and community members. It's a wonderful way to enjoy autumn colors and scenery while discovering inventive decorations throughout the nature center. Kids can burn energy exploring the trails while you take in the season together. If your family wants to participate in creating a scarecrow, you're welcome to build one at home and install it at the nature center during the designated setup period. There's no cost to either walk the trail or create a display. Just keep in mind that trails are unpaved with some slopes, and they're not lit after dark, so plan accordingly. No registration needed—simply show up and enjoy.
