Head to Retzer Nature Center this fall for a fun self-guided walk along the Blue Trail, where you'll discover creative scarecrow displays set up throughout the grounds. It's a great way to enjoy the season's colors while the whole family gets some fresh air and exercise on the wooded paths. If your family is feeling creative, you can also build your own scarecrow at home and install it along the trail for others to enjoy—no fee required. Just follow the provided instructions, print an ID card to attach to your creation, and drop it off during the designated installation dates. The event is completely free to visit, and walk-ins are always welcome. Note that trails are unpaved with some slopes, and they're not lit after dark, so plan your visit accordingly.
