Stone Bank Farm Market: Kids on the Farm

Stone Bank Farm Market offers a one-hour outdoor class designed for young children and their caregivers to explore nature together. Kids ages 3–7 will participate in hands-on activities led by instructor Allison Clark, a folk herbalist and nature educator. The September 30 session focuses on "Meet the Apple Tree," where children learn about fall's gifts and work together to build a fairy house. Activities encourage curiosity as kids discover plants, mushrooms, and seasonal treasures around the farm while getting their hands dirty and connecting with the natural world. The class costs $30 and runs from 10 to 11 a.m. Group size is limited to 15 participants. You'll want to dress for outdoor weather and wear waterproof shoes—the class continues rain, shine, or snow, though bad weather means the option to move activities indoors.
