The Edgewater Tree Lighting Ceremony

Join Madison's Edgewater for their twelfth annual tree lighting celebration, a festive evening designed for the whole family. The event features live entertainment throughout the afternoon and evening, including performances by local dance companies, a drum line, and circus acts. Kids can enjoy craft stations, a story corner, and a movie corner, plus get their letters to Santa written at a special station. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand to meet visitors, and the evening culminates with the lighting of the trees. The celebration runs from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. and is completely free and open to the public, though food and beverages are available for purchase. The beautifully decorated historic property, nestled near Capitol Square and the UW campus, creates a magical holiday atmosphere with twinkling lights throughout the grounds. Multiple indoor gathering spaces keep the celebration comfortable, and there's plenty to see and do for families of all ages.
