Third Ward Art Festival

The Third Ward Art Festival brings together nearly 200 artists from across the country to share their work in ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, mixed media, paintings, photography, and more. Best of all, admission is completely free. You'll have the chance to browse art for sale, chat directly with the artists at their booths, and watch them demonstrate their techniques. If you're feeling inspired, you can even sign up for on-site painting classes to try creating your own art. Families will find plenty to keep everyone entertained. Kids can visit the interactive art tent, get their faces painted, and stop by artist booths specifically designed to introduce children to the art-making process. Live music performs on two stages throughout the event, and you'll have plenty of dining choices from nearby restaurants plus festival food vendors. It's a wonderful way to spend Labor Day weekend exploring creativity and enjoying the energy of the Historic Third Ward.
