Village Tree Lighting

Bring your family to celebrate the start of the holiday season with this community gathering centered around lighting the Village tree. The evening kicks off with the Tosa Cookie Trail, a fun activity where you pre-order a box of gourmet holiday-inspired cookies online and then visit various stops throughout the evening to collect them. You'll also have the chance to purchase warm beverages like mulled wine, hot chocolate, and beer. The main tree lighting ceremony begins at 5 pm and includes a performance by McKinley Elementary choir students, followed by a countdown and Santa's arrival on a fire truck. Afterward, head to Root Common Park (on the south side) to continue celebrating with free Santa visits, a holiday movie shown on a big screen, and additional food and drink options for purchase. This is a wonderful way to experience Wauwatosa's festive spirit with neighbors and friends of all ages.
