Waukesha County Parks Presents Community Science: Pollinators

Get outside and help scientists study pollinators at one of several locations across Waukesha County. You'll work alongside park staff and other nature lovers to conduct a field survey, focusing on bumble bees and other important pollinators. The program teaches you how to spot and identify these insects while you contribute real data to a community science project. No experience necessary—just curiosity and a willingness to learn. This is a great fit for teens and older participants (ages 13+) who want to make a hands-on difference in their community. Best of all, it's completely free. You'll also earn volunteer hours for your efforts and pick up practical skills you can use again. Sessions run for one hour and happen at various parks throughout the county from May through October.
