WPR Classical Music Day in Milwaukee

Celebrate young musicians together at WPR's Classical Music Day in Milwaukee! This evening brings together talented student performers from five premier music programs across southeast Wisconsin—Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra, Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, Greendale High School's marching band and choir, and university ensembles from Marquette and UW-Milwaukee. Each group takes the stage at the Bradley Symphony Center, the home of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, for performances introduced by Jason Heilman from WPR's "Drivetime Classics." It's a wonderful chance to hear the next generation of classical musicians in a professional concert setting and support their growth. Admission is completely free and welcomes all ages. Doors open an hour before the performance begins. While the organizers encourage families to RSVP ahead of time, showing up without registering in advance is perfectly fine. Whether your family enjoys classical music or you're looking to introduce your kids to live performance, this is a relaxed, community-focused evening celebrating the hard work and talent of young musicians right here in the Milwaukee area.
